BizTech Presentation – Social Media: Using brand personality to grow your business
On Wednesday, April 29th at 3:45 p.m. Sara Meaney and I gave a presentation in Milwaukee at BizTimes Magazine’s BizTech Conference and Expo. The topic of our discussion centered on using brand personality in social media to grow your business. Included here, you will find the materials from our presentation.
We are offering this here for the attendees of our presentation to reference after the event. We’re not huge fans of printing out reams of paper, plus who wants to carry a print out of a presentation for the rest of the day anyway?
Also, for those of you who were not able to attend the presentation – you can review it here as well.
If you like what you see here or have any other commentary – please let us know. We’d love to hear from you and if we need to find more information, we’ll do it.
*As a supplemental piece to the presentation – please refer to this published Comet Branding article called “Using Brand Personality in Social Media.” It should provide some additional insight into the topic.

I really like this presentation and wish I could have seen it live. With all of this relatively new information about Social Media, what do you think about the idea of creating a college major about it?
I know American University has begun to explore this idea, and Birmingham City University in the UK has started a Social Media masters program.
Is there enough information to build a major around social media? Is it all information that someone can gain through direct experience and interaction with the various forms of social media?
Wondering what your take is Al.
