Today @ 11a CDT on the Comet Branding Radio Show we will discuss various activities going on in the Milwaukee region to help push our “Creative Economy” forward. Significant efforts are underway and there is work being done to develop cross-group collaboration to make sure the right efforts are placed in the right areas. What needs to be done? Will it work?

Originally, Sarah Klavas the brand director for the state of Wisconsin Tourism was scheduled to be on the show to discuss the strategies and plans her group has to push Wisconsin’s tourism industry forward. At the end of last week I made efforts to reconfirm her particpation with her PR firm and I was informed that she would no longer be able to participate “due to recent events.” I took that to mean she was not interested in further discussing the state’s new logo and slogan.

Now, instead we will focus on a discussion regarding various activities going on in the Milwaukee region to help push our “Creative Economy” forward. Significant efforts are underway and there is work being done to develop cross-group collaboration to make sure the right efforts are placed in the right areas.

We have discussed Milwaukee’s Creative Class and Economy several times on the Comet Branding Radio show. Interestingly enough, it was a discussion on the show, Milwaukee’s Changing Climate for Marketing, way back on Wednesday, September 17 of last year that lead a group of us to develop a group called the Milwaukee Creative Initiative that is scheduled to launch publicly in April that will work to help foster collaboration in Milwaukee’s Creative Industries and more.

So, today at 11a CDT, a great group of thinkers and doers in Milwaukee’s Creative Economy will gather to discuss where we are headed, what’s possible and what might not be. Joining me on the show today will be:
