3D Exhibits

3D Exhibits a strategic trade show exhibit design and fabrication company engaged Comet as the company’s social media agency to research, define and implement a strategic plan for the use of social media. Within a short period of time. 3D had to drive lead generation and demonstrate thought leadership within the industry. Always being at the helm of technology, 3D needed to ensure this was a success. Comet had to hit the ground running to accomplish the client’s stated goals.

Grand Geneva Resort

Grand Geneva is a four-star leisure resort located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and is owned by Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels and Resorts. Like many in its industry, the resort was working to emerge from a slumped economy in 2009 and was looking for ways to grow business and connect directly with current and prospective customers. Comet was retained to develop and execute a strategic social media program.

InterContinental Hotel – Best Burger in Milwaukee

In May of 2010 the general manager of InterContinental Milwaukee hotel saw a great opportunity to continue building a name for his hotel beyond the traditional hotel. He learned that a local TV station was seeking nominations for a “Best Burger in Milwaukee” contest and thought the hotel’s upscale restaurant Kil@wat could be a contender. The contest would ultimately pick the Top 6 burgers in town, which would be profiled by evening anchor, Brad Hicks. But, the initial consideration set would be tracked through online nomination. While it was an interesting opportunity, the property needed help gaining awareness. Comet was enlisted with only 30 hours remaining in the nomination process.

InterContinental Hotel – Pink Room

The InterContinental Milwaukee Hotel, a Marcus Hotels and Resorts property, planned to launch their Pink Room Project summer 2010. The concept of the two guest rooms was designed under the direction of hotel employees seeking to fight breast cancer by supporting the organization, ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis. In June 2010, Comet was retained to develop a public relations strategy and implementation plan that would result in community and media awareness of the guest rooms. The awareness campaign was to be kicked-off following a media pitching campaign at an invite-only launch event for members of the media, Marcus Hotels and Resorts staff and ABCD leaders.

PR+Social Media Summit

After a successful PR + Social Media Summit in October of 2009, which drew great speakers and 300 attendees to UW-Whitewater using only public relations and social media channels, Comet decided to partner with Marquette University to host a second event in April, 2010.
