On Wednesday, July 8th @ 11am Central we get a chance to focus on one of our favorite topics: Milwaukee. We are very passionate about our town and we will chat with Beth Nicols executive director of the Milwaukee Downtown organization and Deanna Inniss, retail recruiter for business improvement district (BID) 21. Please listen in.
In Milwaukee there are many organizations that raise awareness for our city and they all do a wonderful job. One organization in particular has been doing a great job in building the brand for our city’s downtown area. The Milwaukee Downtown organization has used programming and events to help people who work, play and live downtown enjoy our city just a little bit more..and take pride in it.
The organization that manages Downtown Dining Week, Downtown Employee Appreciation Week and many others is now bringing the world to Milwaukee. September 11th through the 15th Milwaukee Downtown will be hosting the International Downtown Association’s international meeting, right here in downtown Milwaukee. Pretty brilliant if you ask us.
In a related effort, Milwaukee Downtown, which is a part of BID 21 has hired Deanna Inniss to be a retail recruiter. Her singular purpose in that job is to attract more retail businesses to open up shop downtown and the nearby areas such as the Third Ward.
Nicols and Inniss are involved, along with Kate Borders from the East Town Association, Stacie Callies from the West Town Association and Nancy O’Keefe from the Third Ward Association, are working to host this event and we will talk with them about everything that has gone into planning and what we can expect.
