Hunger Task Force: Comet Radio #78
Like many nonprofits, the Hunger Task Force has incorporated social media into their communication strategy. On this week’s edition of Comet Radio, Sara Meaney and Emily Lenard will interview the Hunger Task Force’s Director of Development, Scott Marshall. The live show starts at 11am CST, Wednesday October 13th, but you can also catch past shows on our BlogTalkRadio Channel.

With cold weather and the holidays quickly approaching, our thoughts more often turn to supporting organizations like the Hunger Task Force. For more than 30 years, the Hunger Task Force has been advocating and food banking to provide food for people in need.
Unfortunately, it appears that fighting against hunger in Milwaukee is still an uphill battle. According to an article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the U.S. Census Bureau found that Milwaukee is our country’s 4th poorest city.
Such a ranking should inspire all of us to pay more attention to Hunger Task Force’s Twitter and Facebook efforts, but more importantly support the mission of the Hunger Task Force through monetary and food donations.
Listen-in as we discuss how the Hunger Task Force uses social media to keep their cause top-of-mind throughout the year and not just around the holidays.
